KAPPA IV Memoir - Mr. Almanzar

It was 10:00 in the morning. I played with my brother and cousin for a while. Then my mom yelled, “Sapphira clean up your room”. I had a horse shoe. It came from my aunt who passed away. They said that if  YOU HANG IT UP LIKE A –U- YOU GET A LOT OF GOOD LUCK. THEN IT DROPPED AND WENT INTO A  -N- AND THAT MEANS  YOU GET A WHOLE BUNCH OF BAD LUCK. I looked and said, “please! I don’t believe in bad luck”.            

Then I was done with my room. I just had to do my bed. I was done, so I moved it over and then bam…… A big fire hit my hand. A big shock of electricity hit my heart. I jumped back as fast as could. Blood ran down my hand and tears ran down my face. Then the smoke and the smell or burned skin rose.  My mom took out the fire and we rushed to the doctors. Then I yelled, “it burns, it burns at least 28 times”. The nurse said “you will be ok”. Then I yelled “get me something cold or get away from me”.                                      

I could hear them talking about me. I told the lady I was very sorry. Then they had to check to see if my heart was good. They gave me pain killers and I felt a little better. From that day on my family called me electricity girl and I laughed!!!! So much for not believing in magic horse shoes.
