The Best Year of My Life

We are going back to the time of my 5th grade graduation. I was in my school auditorium with my closest friends. I was sitting, waiting for them to call my name. My teeth were shattering and my heart was pounding hard and very fast. Everyone was there for me and my entire graduating grade. After the LAST day of school –“What am I going to do? I’m not going to know anyone, Am I losing all of my friends? , Am I going to be lonely?” I asked myself in my head in a sad mood.

One second later I blanked out. All I was thinking about was my special times before that one. I remember my senior trip, prom and many others. In the prom we came 30 minutes late and we only got 2 more hours (it was kind of boring). I also remember the senior trip, it was so great and I had so much fun. I wish I was still there now….

It was on 6/1/2007, Medieval times in New Jersey. It was so cool, everyone there was dressed life they lived in the 1800’s.

I was taking pictures and exploring the place. We had to eat with our bare hands but the food was delicious so I didn’t have a problem with it. They gave us these delicious cookies. It excitedly asked everyone around me “do you want your cookies?” They answered back “YES, these are great!!!” We saw the show then we went into the pouring rain to go on the bus to go back to the school.

Then I came back to life. I thought to myself “those were some great times”. They started handing out diplomas and we sang as we left the school building. My family and I went home and I changed into some shorts, flip flops and went to a restaurant. We ate delicious food and then I went shopping with my mom.

From that day on I have only seen up to 8 of my 5th grade friends. My friends that I want to see the most and the ones I miss, I have not seen yet. I have noticed that I didn’t make the most out of my last year of elementary school. I noticed that, that year went by in a blink of an eye. I noticed that the best times of my life went away faster than you think and it might not come back….
