My first birthday
By: Jazzlynn
It was just a regular morning. I went through my regular routine: taking a shower, then getting dressed, and, of course, eating breakfast. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!” I heard a voice yell from down the hall. “Whose birthday is it, Mommy?” I questioned one million times. “Well, let me think… she is a light skinned little girl who is wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and has pompoms in her hair.” “Well I can’t think of a girl that looks like that.” I said angrily. “Oh well then. Hey lets go. You don’t want to be late for the party do you?” My mother questioned. “Well no I guess not.” “Ok then. Lets go.” And off to the party we went. We made it just in time.
I was just sitting in the park minding my own business
When I felt a tap on my shoulder. “WHAT!” I shouted at my auntie. “Don’t use that tone of voice with me young lady” My auntie exclaimed. “Oh. Sorry auntie. I didn’t now who it was.” I replied. “ It’s ok” whispered my aunt. As we sat on the bench and listened to music, a conversation came about with my aunt. “ So... How yaw doing.” Asked my aunt. “Ok… I guess.” I replied back with a low tone of voice. “What do you mean I guess? It’s a party. Let loose. RELAX.” Answered my aunt. “ But a party for who?” I yelled. “ I said don’t use that tone of voice with me.” Exclaimed my aunt. “ Sorry. But really, a party for who?” I asked impatiently. “YOU.” My aunt shouted with joy. “Really?” I asked. I turned a round and discovered a birthday cake.
