MY HORRIBLE NIGHT

By: Christian

I was about six years old. And I was in my bed I wasn’t sleeping because I was watching TV. Then my mom came in and said “Christian turn that TV off”. When I turned it off me still wasn’t sleepy. So then I waited a couple of minutes and out of nowhere my bed starts to shake. I tried to wake up my brother but all he was “go back to sleep geese”. Then the room suddenly turned cold. Suddenly, I feel my bed rocking like if an earthquake hit. It moved from side to side, as if it had a mind of its own. “What is happening? Could this be real?” I asked myself.                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Shivering I ran to my mom’s room.  I tried desperately to wake her up.  Yawning she mumbled, ”Don’t worry honey! Everything will be okay, just ignore it and go back to sleep”. Disoriented, I jumped back on my bed and tried to ignore what seemed like a bad dream.  After a while I got real irritated because I couldn’t sleep well.  I tossed and turned constantly but my eyes were as wide as an owl’s.  So I did the impossible: I took a deep breadth and jumped off the bed where I could see what was causing the shaking.  To my amazement and shock, two big red eyes stared back at me.   I freaked out! “AHHHHHH…...”  My mom came ran into the room and asked if I was ok.  Breathing heavily I responded, “I’m just fine”.  I didn’t want my mom to worry. “Ok but be careful and don’t do anything stupid. Got it?” My mom exclaimed. ”Yes, mom,   I will try to”. I said.  After she left the room, I jumped up onto my bed and tried to sleep again. Everything was going all right, until I woke and went to the kitchen to get something to drink.  Upon my return, I noticed when that the room felt colder than usual. Yet to my astonishment, the bed wasn’t shaking.  I kept thinking to myself “what is going to happen next?”.  I felt a cold tap on my head and just as I was about to scream my brother whispers,” What is all that noise I heard?”

Six years later I can’t say whether what I saw that night was real or pure imagination.  I know to trust my mom’s advice now. I will do anything she says and hopefully everything will be okay.
