The Stupid Night By: Zoe
I was so tired from standing in heals, my feet ached. When will we get to a hotel I walked up to and laid on the matress we had in the bride and bridemaid’s room. I didn’t know it but this would be the last mattress I would see for the next 23 hours. I ran down stairs “come on it’s time to leave” my mom shouted
“Just 15 more minutes.” I begged
“Ok” she replied. Then I heard glasses cling, “The speeches” I shouted. I ran down the stairs as fast as I could, when I got down stairs as fast as I could. “I made it” I though to my self.
“I’m so tired” I told my self again. It was finally my turn to make a speech, “Marissa and David ever since I was little you have been there for me, like when my parents had a bad fight you where there for me. Well now it’s my turn to be there for you, so is to the you, the best people I have and will ever know.
We were finally on the road. An hour later I asked if we where there yet. My mom answered in a way that made me shiver, it had never taken us this long to find a hotel before. When we stopped I asked my mom “why are we stopping, don’t we need to find a hotel?”
“There are no hotels until New York”. “Then where are we sleeping tonight?” I asked with fear. “We have to sleep in the car tonight.” Those words still hunt me to this day.
That night I was terribly tired. I had a baby sleeping on me, I had my feet and head off the edges of the car seat and my feet felt like they were frozen. This was the worst night I had ever had. When I woke up from my 4 and ½ minutes of sleep I was so tired!!! I couldn`t stand even one word that came out of that baby’s mouth. I got so tired of hearing him, I reached over and hit him. He started to cry but I didn`t care. All I wanted was to have him feel the same pain I felt the night before.
Since we didn’t have a hotel reservation, my night was ruined. I learned the hard way that you should always be prepared. .
