Meeting Teachers at KAPPA IV

One of the most important things that happened to me that really influenced me and shocked me was when I met teachers at kappa IV. It was so important that I decide to write about it. Join me and I would tell you about it.

Excited, scared, smart, kind and crazy. Those are the emotions I felt before the memorable moment. That was the best day before school started because I had a chance to talk to all my friends and tell them about my new school. I was so excited I kept saying you would be okay it just a new school with new friends and teachers. My mother was not surprised that I would act like that with no action and control. On that night I couldn’t sleep because I was too excited. The next day I was very exhausted because I woke up very early. I thought I would never make it to school today. My mom came with me to the school to make sure I don’t do anything wrong.

When I walked up to the school I did not see anybody that I knew. I said to myself, “You will be okay today. You just have to meet the teachers and make new friends. When I got up to the steps, I felt like 1,000,000 butterflies were inside my stomach about to come out of me. I got my number from Prof Ruiz and I sat at my table.

Thirty minutes passed. I started to make some more friends but not enough to start school with.”601!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”. I lined up with my stuff inside the auditorium. That was my first time saying the chant inside kappa.

After the chant, we had another moment. This was the first time I almost peed on myself. The time was almost here. I had to walk up 5 flights. I was anxious, scared, and crazy. The time was finally here. I got upstairs and saw 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 teachers all looking to be hard on us. When the teachers said welcome six graders, I felt normal.

Months later I am here and feel like kappa is my home. Looking back at that day I say that my lesson learned was expect the unexpected. I am glad you read my memoir
