KAPPA IV Memoir - Mr. Almanzar

My first day at school. I’m all ready to go to school it’s six o’clock. Then we started to go to school. But then we got there. I was scared to go in the school because people were staring at me.

          Then when I walked in the school. I saw a whole crowd of people looking at me like they wanted to beat me up. But then I realized I should not be scared to go in a school. So, I met a friend and she was so nice to me.

             So my new friend, Stephanie, and I were very cool together. But then I saw a boy who started bothering me because I had the thing on my head. I am Muslim. That’s why I have it on. So I was so mad that I slapped him. Then he ran away. So then my friend and I had some business. So we did what they told us to do. We had a lot of fun talking and meeting each other. We new a lot of people and we met teachers. We met a whole lot of friends. We had a great time together. That was the best day of school.

            When I went home I thought about if I tell a secret would she tell somebody my secret. I thought I should not tell her my secret but I will give her a chance. But if she blew it, I will not talk to her for ever. So I called her. So I said, “Stephanie if I tell you a secret would you tell somebody”. She said “no”. so I believed her. I told her to come over to my house so we can go shopping. So we went shopping and came back. She said to me that I am her best friend and she hugged me. Then she went home. I started to cry. That was the first time somebody ever said that to me. I love what she said to me that day. I will never forget how important friendship is.
