When I fell of my bike
By: Jennifer
One sunny day, my brother and I were bored so we decided to ride our bicycles. At first we went to a park, but looking for a bigger challenge we went to this place with a huge hill. I went faster and faster every time down the hill. My brother stopped but I could not stop, and suddenly disaster struck. When my brother saw me he ran to me and asked worried,” What happened Jennifer?” In a world of pain I replied, “I crashed!” After calling our mom to tell her what happened, he rushed me, walking as quickly as possible.
When I arrived at my mom’s home, she ran to the door, grabbed me by the hand, and took me to my room. Immediately, she gave me soft tissue to wipe the blood running down my arms and legs. But I still had to go to the hospital with so much blood all over me.
Minutes later, the bleeding had finally stopped but the pain just kept pouring on. My limbs were swollen and I remained in pain for hours. But thankfully I eventually fell asleep as the pain lessened.
For two weeks my arm continued to hurt so my mother took me to the doctor. In ten short minutes my arm was wrapped in a white bandage that I had to wear for a month. I didn’t care because it felt so much better.
Now days I am so much more careful when I ride my bike. I don’t need to go through this again.
