When I fell off my bike
By: Alexandrina
On a hot summer day, I went outside and saw a lot of kids on their bikes without training wheels. I was jealous because I didn’t know how to ride a bike yet. This was in the beginning of the summer. I heard everyone laughing and talking outside. I wanted learn how to ride so, I told myself that I would learn in a couple of days maybe weeks, and that it wouldn’t take that long.
Since I wanted to ride, I told my uncle to come and teach me. I got on my bike but with my uncle holding the back of it. I told him “let me go” I said this because I thought I had it, while I was riding the bike was tilting but I kept on going because I thought that I could of still made it. The bike was going so fast that I lost my balance and I couldn't keep my feet on the peddles. Then...........CRASH, I fell off the bike and into some bushes. I saw that I scraped my knees, my elbow, and my legs. My uncle came rushing from the start of the sidewalk and said “oh my gosh are you okay” in a loud worried voice. I said “I’m fine” while my uncle was picking me up from the bushes. He said “thank god you are okay, I was so worried.” I told that I was in pain a little. My uncle asked me “do you want to get some ice cream?” I replied “sure, I love ice cream.” I was full of scratches and bruises when I got home, and when my mother saw me she said in shock “what happened to you,” I said “I fell off my bike, but I’m okay.”
After a few days, I was brave enough to go back on my bike and try again the next day, but I still didn’t get, but guess what I tried the next day. I kept on trying and trying and trying until I had it and did it perfect. I saw that I was controlling the bike, my feet were on the peddles, and I also had great balance. I was able to do it and never give up. THANKS TO MY UNCLE.
