"What I did was wrong. Not knowing what my child will look like eats a part of me every day. I don't cry, I can't cry because it’s too late. I made that choice and now this is the torment I live with day after day”. I killed my own child...an innocent child and I hate my self for it. I see myself as a murderer. A murderer who doesn't kill evil people...a murderer who kills innocent lives....a baby's life. That’s what I'll see for the rest of my life." These are the tearful words of Zara, one of the millions of women who will regret their abortions for all the time they will live. Abortion is a word that brings pain to the child and the mother who is sought as a killer. As regretful as they are, abortions put any women at a high risk of developing cancers and other diseases as well as putting a human in turmoil. It is sick both mentally and physically. For years we have been killing lives legally. It is about time that abortions should be banned from our social and legal system.
It is a problem to allow abortions, because of the excruciating pain and disturbance. Abortion has been a long term debate in our country, but what it all comes down to is; plain old wrong. Many may comprehend both sides of abortions, but all understand that abortions are stomach-boiling and disturbing acts of crime against a “seed of life”. If any one had ever entered into an abortion clinic, they would agree that it was as grotesque as a scene from “The Silence of the Lambs”. Abortion procedures vary from trimester to trimester, and as the progression of pregnancy continues, the acts only get worse. Doctors would use medical vacuums in the first stage of pregnancy also known as the first trimester. As the second trimester approaches, the doctor would literally “chisel” and “hammer” the skull of the fetus crushing the brain and the head with an additional procedure to drag the lifeless remains out.
It is a problem to allow abortions to happen, because of health risks and health complications we are putting a woman in. However, it is not only the pain that is drenched from these women during abortions, but the mental pain that is within after the abortion. Based on true stories, women who suffered from Post Abortion Syndrome, had abortions 2 months prior from suffering the disease. Gynecologists say that women have a 60- 70% increase of breast cancer after abortions, as well as severe depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and the biggest of all: regret, guilt, and suicidal thoughts. The list goes on and so do the cons of abortion. Those who believe in faith know that “thou shall not kill.” We must take religion to Washington D.C and chant, “thou shall not abort”!
It is a problem to some to ban the act of abortion. Still, the abortion issue is hotter than Obama and Clinton on Super Tuesday. Therefore, we can assure that many are turning their faces on the banning of abortions. The United States currently allows abortions in cases of emergency, such as escaping the pains of pregnancy and conditions like rape pregnancies. United States also allows mental, physical, economical, and life threatening excuses. Women don’t want to feel the suffering of having a child from a rapist. Many would rather not see a life being born than abandoning a life in the years to come.
On the other side, it is an omen to allow abortions to be in tact. Our own government that puts “sickos” in jail for killing children is allowing abortions- the killing of the growth of a baby. While rape cases happen every day, the chances of rape pregnancies happening are slight to none. There are irresponsible 16 year olds who have underage sex; shall we grant them the right to an abortion? There are those who kill with their bare hands; should we amputate every person’s hands? You can’t change society, but you can change the rules of society. Besides those who wish to escape the suffering of pregnancy through abortions, are only opening another door of pain.
Drugs, guns, and Jennifer Lopez movies are all things that should be banned from our society. Abortions should no longer exist for the eyes of our children to see. Abortions are absurd to women who are both responsible and irresponsible. It is absurd for 16 year olds and 26 year olds. It is dangerous for the black women and the white women. If we want to protect the lives of our citizens, if we want for our women and children to be healthy; then abortion needs to be taken to Capitol Hill. Mother, sister, and daughter need to act, protest, and convince the American government to making murder fully illegal. Ask yourself this: do you enjoy the crushing of innocent seeds of life? Do you want to see your daughter, mother, or sister suffer in agony? Millions of lives depend on your answer.
